Rutgers K-12 Pre-College Opportunities Fair

The Rutgers University–New Brunswick Office of Summer & Winter Sessions invites you to attend the K-12 Pre-College Opportunities Fair at Rutgers University–New Brunswick:

Saturday, January 12, 2019
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
College Avenue Student Center, Multipurpose Room
126 College Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901

Connect with pre-college program staff and learn about opportunities available universitywide during the academic year and summer for K-12 students. Attend workshops and chat with undergraduate admissions, financial aid, and Rutgers test prep. There will be light refreshments and giveaways for attendees!

Governor's School & NJ Scholars Nominations For The Class of 2019

Biotechnology High School is proud to nominate outstanding students in the class of 2019 for the following summer programs:

• Governor's School of Engineering & Technology
• Governor’s School in the Sciences 
• New Jersey Scholars Program

These are extraordinary enrichment opportunities provided to New Jersey high school students at no cost to families. To learn more about each of these individual programs, please click on the links above.

The Guidance Department will select nominees on the basis of academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and demonstrated interest. We are able to nominate 1 student for each of the Governor's Schools and 2 students for New Jersey Scholars.

If you would like to be considered as a BTHS nominee, please submit your application by Monday, December 11th. Any application submitted after 7:30 am on 12/11 will not be considered.

Also Note: students may apply for more than 1 program. Submit a separate application for each program that you would like to be considered for.

Rutgers New One-Week Summer Academies

Study at Rutgers University this summer!

Choose from three intensive one-week residential certificate programs focused on engineering, STEM, and Leadership:

Pre-Engineering Summer Academy | (July 9 - 15)
Learn about aerospace, biochemical, biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, forensic, industrial, material science, mechanical and systems engineering through an integrated program of lectures, demonstrations, hands-on projects, tours, and field trips.

iSTEM Summer Academy | (July 16 - 22)
Select a global environmental challenge to address during this interdisciplinary, problem-based program of STEM lectures, individual research, hands-on group projects, faculty coaching, field trips, and guest speakers. The academy ends with student presentations of proposed environmental solutions at the final certificate ceremony.

Leadership Summer Academy | (July 23 - 29)
Assess your own leadership style through a 360-degree assessment and carefully calibrated experiential exercises. Learn about the practices and ethics of leaders in a wide range of spheres through integrated lectures, interviews, field trips, and engaging in-class activities. Final student presentations address individual leadership development and applications.
