BOLD Summer Camp

High school aged students are invited to apply for the BOLD Camp (BioCONECT Oncology Leadership Development) - a unique summer learning opportunity for students who have an interest in learning about cellular biology and genetics of cancer, as well as the diverse careers connected to the field.

During this week-long interactive experience, students will increase their understanding of cancer-related causes, diagnostic tools, treatment options and current research through the context of breast cancer. More importantly, they will identify risk reduction strategies and learn first-hand about diverse careers related to the field as they live the experience among the professionals at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey!

Open to high school students entering the 10th, 11th or 12th grade in Fall.

DATES: July 11 through July 15, 2016 (Monday-Friday)

TIME: 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM each day, continental breakfast and lunch provided

LOCATION: Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey New Brunswick, NJ

TO APPLY: Visit the BOLD website to download an Application. 

DEADLINE: Submit a completed application by March 31, 2016.

Accepted applicants will be notified by April 25, 2016. Upon acceptance, applicants must submit a registration fee of $200 (scholarships will be provided to those needing financial assistance) and enrollment forms by May 16, 2016 (provided after acceptance.)

PSAT 2015 Results

Students received paper copies of their PSAT Score Reports & Test Booklets today ... so what's next?

(1) Visit studentscores.collegeboard.org to create a College Board account and get your full PSAT/NMSQT score report. Please note the location of the access code on the front cover of the score reports. Students must use their unique access code to get their full score reports online.

(2) Create a Khan Academy account at satpractice.org and link it to your College Board account to get free personalized practice for the SAT.

(3) Explore your interests through the personalized MyRoad tool and visit bigfuture.org to learn more about careers and majors -both available via your online PSAT/NMSQT score report.

(4) Register for the SAT in March, May or June. Spring of junior year is the perfect time to take the SAT for the first time -- students can take advantage of their PSAT/NMSQT experience, and they will have time to practice, increase their skills, and test again if they want to improve their scores.

Columbia University Science Honors Program

 

The Columbia University Science Honors Program (SHP) is a highly selective program for high school students who have a strong interest in the sciences and mathematics. The SHP holds classes at Columbia from 10:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. on Saturdays throughout the academic year.
