By 6:30 PM on Friday, February 26th, Biotechnology High School's MPR was completely transformed into a beautiful space for students to perform music. The Arts and Entertainment Club's Spring Coffeehouse was about to begin.

2016’s first coffeehouse had an amazing turn out, with 25 acts, including jazz, acoustic, and acapella performances. Straight Out of Composition, the BTHS Choir, the Broletariat (the boy's a capella group), and the A&E Officers were among some of the amazing groups who performed at the coffeehouse.

The Arts and Entertainment Club embraces students' talents outside the classroom, and it really showed on stage. Sophomore Phoebe Dijour said "I thought all the performers did an amazing job! Our school is filled with talent!"

Special thanks to Mr. Dannen for his help in setting up for the coffeehouse and his constant hard work, Mr. Meehan for supporting A&E, and everyone who helped set up, clean up, and perform.

All proceeds from the coffeehouse will go to the spring musical, Willy Wonka. The cast, crew, band, and directors have been putting an incredible amount of time in order to put on a great show. Our very own Biotech students will be acting, singing, dancing, and playing instruments, so make sure you're there at 7 PM on Thursday, April 28th and Friday, April 29th to witness it!
