Newsweek Names BTHS As One Of...

Newsweek and US News both released their  list of America's best high schools for 2012. Both ranked Biotechnolgy High School in the top twenty.  Newsweek ranked our school 20th (improved from last year's ranking of 25), on their  list of 500 exceptional high schools in the nation. Newsweek reports that the ranking was developed on the following criteria:

The list is based on six components provided by school administrators: graduation rate (25 percent), college matriculation rate (25 percent), AP/IB/AICE tests taken per student (25 percent), average SAT/ACT scores (10 percent), average AP/IB/AICE scores (10 percent), and AP courses offered  per student(5 percent).

You can visit their listing by clicking here.  US News ranked the program 17 and the complete list, along with their methodology can be found here.

We would like to congratulate the students, parents, and faculty, whose combined efforts have made this achievement possible.
